Did You Know?

ADP has been part of the UBC community and a leader in the Greek system since 1926.

· There is a NEW Fraternity Village complex located at 2880 Wesbrook Mall (in the heart of UBC Campus).

· ADP recently moved into our NEW 26-room student residence (House #6) in October 2003.

· All rooms in the ADP House are singles, and most have an in-suite vanity and share a private bathroom.

· Unlike UBC rez, 1st year students are eligible for these single rooms.

· You don’t have to be a member of ADP to live in the House, but we encourage you to participate in Fraternity events and consider joining – see our ‘RUSH’ section.

· ADP members get significant rent and parking subsidies.

· All utilities are included and each room has high-speed internet access.

· The common areas of the House include living room w/ fireplace, patio & porch w/ BBQ, rec room w/ leather couches, 50”tv, dvd & surround-sound, and pool table, coin-op laundry, and exercise / bike room.

· 24/7 reserved, secure underground parking is available with convenient direct access to the ADP House – at rates much less than UBC Parking.

· ADP offers an in-house meal plan for the UBC Winter Session with a professional cook preparing lunch & dinner M-F and casserole-style weekend food – so you don’t have to worry about cooking after a long day studying, you eat healthy, …and no points to calculate (as with UBC Food Services).

· ADP House offers 24 / 7 access to food and kitchen equipment – so, like home, feel free to grab a quick snack from the fridge during those late night study breaks.

· ADP House offers co-ed short-term housing for UBC students, campus workers, international travelers, etc. for the summer (May – Aug).

· ADP House offers a superior student residence option at much LOWER RATES than UBC Housing!!

Housing Application Notes

The process for applying for Housing at the ADP House is similar but different in many respects to traditional rental agreements and that of UBC rez, so please read this website and all documentation in full so that you have a clear understanding of the process and your commitments.

• If there are any remaining vacancies after the application deadline date, then these room assignment decisions will be processed on a first-apply basis as per the discretion of House Management.

• All deadlines and application processes apply to ADP Brothers as well as general boarders.

• Word-of-mouth, email, or phone message is not sufficient to secure room assignment. House Management must receive all applicable forms (filled-out in-full and signed) and a deposit cheque by the application deadline before an application for Housing will be considered.

• The House Manager is the only agent of the Society (British Columbia Alumni Association of Alpha Delta Phi) that has the authorization to discuss and confirm room assignment. You do not have a room assignment at the ADP House until you receive email confirmation from the House Manager directly.

• Once accepted for Housing and the deposit cheque is processed, the Residency Contract and all associated Mandatory Terms (both ADP House and Strata) are in-effect. Should you cancel your room assignment after that for any reason, you will forfeit your deposit and may be subject to early lease termination penalties (as described in the Mandatory Terms).

• As this is a student residence on UBC campus, the Residential Tenancy Act of BC does not wholly apply. ADP House has many unique House and conduct rules necessary for management of this communal-living Fraternity / student residence. It is your responsibility to review and clarify all Residency Contract terms before applying if you have any questions.
