Rush Events

Rush is a Greek-wide process that takes place from the first day of school until Bids day on Sept. 30th. It is an opportunity for men interested in the Greek system to learn about the brothers and histories of each fraternity and to find the one most suited to them. The brothers of Alpha Delta Phi wholeheartedly invite all gentlemen to visit the house during the Rush period and find out why Alpha Delta Phi’s are so proud of their fraternity.

September 15th and 21st
are the two official Interfraternal Council (IFC) rush dates. These are dry events, held at each fraternity’s house on campus. Come by the house at any time between 6 and 10 pm on these days to meet the brothers, tour the house and learn about Alpha Delta Phi.

The Second Annual Blair McRadu Invitational Golf Tournament is the continuation of a long Alpha Delt tradition. Alumni, active brothers and rushees compete in teams of four for the coveted trophy. This is a highlight of the rush process for many brothers, both past and present.

Formal rush is the final rush event before bids day. This is an invitation-only event where rushees are given a chance to meet alumni brothers and make their final decision on which fraternity is right for them. Rushees have an opportunity to visit up to two different formal rush events.

Bids day, held at the SUB, is when rushees formally decide which fraternity they would like to pledge. Fraternities offer bids to the rushees, who in turn accept the bid of the fraternity they have selected and decline the rest.
