Quarterbacks Ben Graham (alumni) and Dave (potential rushee) each passed for many touchdowns. However, Dave would have done a lot better had Gerald not dropped all the balls in the end zone! Graham and Jeff Blake (active) found each other in the end zone throughout the game to keep the score a healthy lead. Active Brother Anthony Bryson also had some surprising catches, and runs.

Between games we took a break, listening to Tim Laidler’s (alumni, former House Manager) brilliant story of Nathan Woolard (alumni) in the classroom.

We followed up with a game of soccer. Adrien “Brick Wall” Lee, goalkeeper (alumni), was a beast in stopping many breakaway runs.

Tired from running around, and beaten up by bare feet on turf, we headed to the house for BBQ and Beer. Brother Blake manned the grill, churning out 30 plus burgers and a few dozen hot dogs to hungry Alpha delt’s. With grilled onions, fresh tomato and lettuce, the food was a hit. We shared stories, laughed, and enjoyed the company of our brothers – active and alumni – as many of the actives have not been around since the end of the school year.

Then we cracked a few beers and the rest is a blur…  Just kidding, someone had the bright idea of freezing the 30 pack so it turned out to be a refreshing beer … slurpee. Mmmmm.

Alpha Delta Phi has hit the ground running in September winning the first three UBC REC events. September 27^th was a big day for Alpha Delt, with teams ‘Long and Strong’ finishing first in the UBC Mens category with the fastest time all weekend and ‘We Paddle Upstream For Kicks’, a CoRec team with sorority Alpha Gamma Delta, second in the UBC CoRec division. Our two other teams also did amazing, placing second in divisional races, only to other Alpha Delt teams.

Alpha Delt came out strong again placing first in the following REC event Inner Tube Water Polo. Brothers Jesse Ory, Steven Klassen and Glendon Inkster joined forces with the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi to win 2-0 in the finals.

Gladiator, the most recent event, tested the strength, fitness, endurance and skill of all competitors. However, Alpha Delta Phi took these in stride and to no avail placed first yet again in Divisional competition in a CoRec team with Alpha Delta Pi. Brothers Jeff Hart, Andrew King and Steven Klassen with help from Pledge brother Ross Enns worked together to come out with the win.

Several brothers and pledges also competed in the Fall Badminton tournament, with Brothers Jeff Hart and Ross Andrews duking it out in the finals of Pool B. Brother Tim Dy Guani also placed well, reaching the semi-finals of Pool B.

Alphadelt wins the men’s Hindmarch final!!!

Thanks to everyone who joined us last Saturday Night for our first Alphadelt and Molson Co-Ed Beer Pong Tournament. A fantastic night was had by all and while we don’t yet have a winner in this very coveted and hotly contested tournament, this Friday night’s rescheduled best-of-7 championship game will be sure to be a squeaker.

Thanks for coming, everyone! Once again, all who came brought out their best, to knock our St. Pattys Open Party off the hook again. Fuses blew, drinks flowed, music blasted, random hookups, uh, hooked, and I think we all wished we brought a little less clothing onto the dance floor. Were already stoked to have everyone out again next year, that is, as soon as this hangover wears off!
