Now Accepting Applications for Summer 2010 UBC students and International students
“UBC student housing at a fraternity?!? Ya, right… thanks, but no thanks. I’ve seen ‘Animal House’… I think I’ll try rez or off-campus.”
Yes, we know what you – and your parents – are probably thinking. Unfortunately, “fraternity” conjures up many stereotypical images… the most prominent of which is the decrepit party house.
Fair enough… as university life can be very difficult for undergrads (and, particularly 1st years). Sure, these years are supposed to be fun… but, if you are going to pay for a university degree and student housing, you want to live somewhere that maximizes your dollar as well as your chances for academic success. Your home-away-from-home should be comfortable, private, close to your classes, and provide services such as a meal plan, parking, high-speed Internet, etc. Right?
Well… if you take a moment to review the ADP website and our Housing section, I think you’ll quickly see that those stereotypes are exaggerated and unfounded. All Alpha Delts, myself included, are very proud of the leadership and extracurricular activities our fraternal organization offers undergrads at UBC… and the positive social and academic environment our House provides for boarders and Brothers alike.
Further, ADP House is the best overall student housing deal on campus… within a few minutes walk of all your classes! No UBC residence offers 1st thru 4th year undergrads a facility as nice as ours… single rooms, private bathrooms, new oak bedroom furniture, rec room w/ 50” tv and pool table, etc. And, for the UBC Winter Session, no other student housing + meal plan option is as cost-effective… with all utilities included (plus digital cable tv, house phone, and high-speed Internet), an in-house chef preparing lunch and dinner daily, hearty all-you-can-eat home-style food served hot, 24/7 food and kitchen access, etc. (NO Meal Plan in the Summer)
ADP Brothers, new pledges, and general boarders alike should be aware that – to be fair and due to high demand – we do set Housing application deadlines for the UBC Winter Session (Sept. – April) and summer housing (May – Aug.). So please check this website for more details and specific dates. Don’t miss out!
