Co-Rec Futsol

The Tokyo Pandas (ADPi and Alpha Delt) made their semi-final co-rec game a nail-biter as they forcefully managed to pull through to the finals last Sunday in overtime. The sudden death intensity, however, did not get to the Pandas’ heads while goal keeper Glendon Inkster, defender Shamai Cohen, and Forwards Brendan Crossley and Matthias Kempe worked skillfully with their teammates to score the exhilarating goal in the last minute of sudden death overtime. We wish the Pandas the best of luck as they take on Beta and Alpha Gam in the finals next Sunday!

Congratulations!

Men’s 11 on 11 outdoor Soccer

The men’s outdoor soccer team have played four league games and are on their road to the finals as they went undefeated in the entire season. Captain Jeff Hart and midfielder James Readman played exceptional in all matches and have contributed greatly throughout the entire season. James’s hard work and effort throughout his 47.5 seconds of game play were key in Alpha Delt’s road to the finals!

Congratulations Boys!

From the desk of Jeff Hart, our Event Sports rep:

Alpha Delta Phi has hit the ground running in September winning the first three UBC REC events. September 27th was a big day for Alpha Delt, with teams ‘Long and Strong’ finishing first in the UBC Mens category with the fastest time all weekend and ‘We Paddle Upstream For Kicks’, a CoRec team with sorority Alpha Gamma Delta, second in the UBC CoRec division. Our two other teams also did amazing, placing second in divisional races, only to other Alpha Delt teams.

Alpha Delt came out strong again placing first in the following REC event Inner Tube Water Polo. Brothers Jesse Ory, Steven Klassen and Glendon Inkster joined forces with the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi to win 2-0 in the finals.

Gladiator, the most recent event, tested the strength, fitness, endurance and skill of all competitors. However, Alpha Delta Phi took these in stride and to no avail placed first yet again in Divisional competition in a CoRec team with Alpha Delta Pi. Brothers Jeff Hart, Andrew King and Steven Klassen with help from Pledge brother Ross Enns worked together to come out with the win.
